Qianjin Zhang is currently a PhD candidate at the Asia Institute,
University of Melbourne. Her PhD research focuses on social service
delivery in rural China, specifically the relationship between
lower-level governments and non-state providers. She is also interested
in nonprofit studies with empirical focus on China and Asia. Before
starting PhD, she worked at the Beijing Volunteer Service Federation as
a program coordinator supporting both domestic and international
volunteering programs. She has a Bachelor of Management from Sichuan
University (2013), a Master of Public Policy and Management from the
University of Melbourne (2015), and a MPhil in Public Administration
from Renmin University of China (2016).

Dr Md. Zakaria Siddiqui

Md Zakaria Siddiqui is an Assistant Professor at the Department of
Humanities and Social Science at BITS-Pilani (Birla Institute of
Technology & Science), Hyderabad Campus, and an Adjunct Fellow at the
University of South Australia, Adelaide. His research and teaching focus
on contemporary themes of public policy debates in India, such as
sustainable delivery of modern energy services to Indian households, the
dual burden of malnutrition in India, the calorie ‘puzzle’, declining
participation of women in the labour market, the role of scientific
diaspora in development, democracy, and marginalisation of minorities.
His research has found its way in reputed academic journals such as
World Development, Journal of Development Studies, Health Policy and
Planning, Public Health and Nutrition and Energy Policy.
